Online Therapy in Russian

Psychologist Alyona Busel

For 15 years, I have been helping people find their way to themselves and build harmonious relationships. My degree in psychology, regular supervision, and personal therapy are tools that allow me to remain a reliable support for my clients. I work in Russian and English, offering online sessions worldwide. Together, we'll explore what's behind your difficulties, and you'll start to understand yourself better — your reactions, feelings, and choices. From this understanding, change is born that stays with you for the long run.

Education

Three directions that shaped my approach

Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank (Minsk)

Practical Psychology

Here I gained fundamental knowledge about human psychology. This foundation allows me to work with a wide variety of needs — from personal crises to family conflicts.

Eastern European Institute of Psychoanalysis (Saint Petersburg)

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Training in psychoanalysis opened up the depth of the human psyche to me. I learned to work with deep experiences and help people understand the unconscious causes of their difficulties — those that live in the past but affect the present.

Moscow Gestalt Institute (Moscow)

Gestalt Therapy

The Gestalt approach taught me to work with what is happening here and now. This is a method that helps clients become aware of their feelings, needs, and choices in the moment — and it's through this that they change their lives.

My Approach

Exploration → Awareness → Transformation

  1. 01

    Understanding the past

We explore the roots of your struggles — where familiar reactions and repeating patterns come from. You gain clarity: you see the connection between past experiences and present challenges.

  2. 02

    Embracing the present

You learn to recognize your feelings, needs, and triggers — to notice what's happening here and now. You find choice: you start acting consciously rather than following automatic patterns.

  3. 03

    Building the future

We create tools and strategies that work specifically for you — so you can handle new challenges independently. You gain solid ground: confidence and inner resources to move forward.

Questions before starting

Choosing a therapist is choosing someone you'll trust with your most personal matters. It's natural to have questions.

01How will I know if you're the right therapist for me?

The first 2–3 sessions will show if there's a connection. You should feel heard and understood. If not — I'll help you find another specialist.

02What makes your approach different?

I don't give advice or teach "how to do it right." I help you understand yourself so deeply that decisions come naturally. It's a long path, but it changes lives.

03How often should we meet?

I usually recommend weekly sessions — the process goes deeper this way. But we adapt to your circumstances.

04Can you guarantee results?

Therapy is collaborative work. I guarantee you'll receive tools for change and support at every step. The pace depends on you, but the direction is my responsibility.

05Why do you yourself go to therapy?

Personal therapy is not a sign of weakness, but a professional standard. It helps me stay resourceful, see my blind spots, and understand the process from within. I cannot lead you where I haven't been myself.

06How can I be sure of confidentiality?

Everything said in session stays strictly between us — this is the foundation of the therapeutic contract. I use secure platforms and do not record sessions. Confidentiality is not just ethics, it's the condition under which change is possible.

Ready for Change?

Write to me briefly what's currently concerning you and what changes you want to achieve. I speak Russian and English fluently, will listen carefully to your situation and explain how therapy can help in your specific case. We'll find a convenient time for the first consultation.
